Special 1840 The First EggHauler

A genuine recreation of one of the first EggHaulers that made its appearance in 1840. Following the creation of the Baltimore & Ohio, South Carolina Railroad and success of the steam locomotive railroad, mania struck the nation as a fast and efficient means of moving goods. By 1840 the states east of the Mississippi River boasted over 2,800 miles of track. This number quickly rose as the decade wore on and more and more EggHaulers were needed to carry the demand.

We will assemble your EggHauler Gondola with glue and also attach the wheels and the Couplers if you order them.

Already have your own Kadee or USA Trains Couplers? Great, then attach your own. We have a standard mounting box that will accept a Kadee #910 Gear Box and the USA Trains R2011 Coupler Box.
